What customers say?

“ Ordered Geba-weta Tibs and Quanta firfir halves to go, I loved both. The food was delicious - the firfir was spicy, the Tibs was soft & aromatic. The owner was also kind and helpful. Highly recommended! ”

“ This place is legit a gem. The food is ridiculously delicious. With my favorite Ethiopian spot shutting down last year, I’m so glad I found this place. This is definitely the best Ethiopian spot in Dallas that’s open. One of the best spots for African food. It’s a small mart with only a few tables! I had the beyaynetu (vegetarian platter) and beef tibbs. The beef tibbs was so flavorful and tasty. The broth/liquid it sits in is amazing. Dipping injera in that was so good. The vegetarian platter was incredible. The different lentils and peas are cooked to perfection with delicious spice. I also had shiro! It’s not on their display menu but they’ll make it for you. It’s a chickpea stew and great to dip injera in! The Ethiopian coffee was also really good. Very friendly staff and service. During my meal, different staff members came up to me at different times individually to see how everything was going. I really appreciated that. Please try this place if you haven’t! It’s proof that Ethiopian cuisine is one of the best cuisines you can experience. I will 100% be returning for a second visit. ”

“ Visited here for lunch with a friend. We ordered the chicken tibse and vegetarian combination. Hands down the best Ethiopian food we’ve had the north dallas area. Slightly pricey but the portion size was really good. The wait for food was long, primarily because everything is cooked fresh and to order, but it was totally worth it. Very friendly staff :) definitely visiting this place more often. ”

“ No frills, amazing, authentic Ethiopian food. The vegetarian platter is amazing. ”

- Kekin Ghelani -

“ Best Ethiopian food I’ve had in Dallas. I’ve tried 2 other popular places but the food just is not as good! I love it here! Today I got the chicken tibse and cabbage. I’ve had the beef, lamb, and veggie plates before. All are delicious ”

“ Super tasty, home style Ethiopian cooking! Easy going atmosphere. Totally worth the drive and/or wait! The restaurant was in a small grocery store, so not your typical restaurant vibe, but the homestyle and friendly service was a nice experience in its own way! ”

- Kaleisha Miller -

“ First time trying and I got fish, cabbage and red lentils. I was a bit underwhelmed by the restaurant market lol as in lack of aesthetics and formality, but food was tasty and flavorful. Very filling and affordable + staff was kind. ”
